Dina Stock, DPM, a Cleveland Clinic podiatrist, frequently recommends orthotics for people with flat feet, big toe arthritis or mid-foot arthritis, but many conditions can benefit from orthotics. People with inflammatory rheumatoid arthritis, for example, benefit from orthotics because their tendons and joints are more susceptible to damage.
