Awkward sleeping positions can put stress and strain on your body, leading to pain in the neck and other parts of the back and body. Pain can interfere with sleep, and poor sleep can exacerbate pain. Ideally, you want to have your body in as neutral a position as possible, so your body can rest and recover as you slumber. The goal is a position that maintains and supports the natural curves in your back and neck.
