If you develop tingling and numbness in your hand, you may think it’s carpal tunnel syndrome. But, depending on where the symptoms are felt, it might be cubital tunnel syndrome instead. With carpal tunnel syndrome the median nerve in the wrist gets compressed. “With cubital tunnel syndrome, it’s the ulnar nerve at the elbow that gets pinched,” says Cleveland Clinic orthopaedic surgeon Joseph Styron, MD, PhD.
