There’s no doubt about the benefits of exercise, including for bone and joint health. “If we don’t use the muscles that support our bones and joints, we lose strength, which can cause wear and tear on joints,” says Cleveland Clinic physical therapist Maureen Kessler. Exercise also helps to keep bones strong, and it’s good for overall health.
