Everyone experiences pain occasionally, but for some people, pain is an annoying constant. If youre among them, does this mean you have fibromyalgia? Possibly-but normally other symptoms are involved in the disorder, as well, says William Wilke, MD, a rheumatologist in the Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Disease at Cleveland Clinic. "Most people with fibromyalgia not only have widespread pain-all over their body, not just in a single muscle or joint-lasting for at least three months. They also have a lot of fatigue, headaches, and possibly light sensitivity and/or sensitivity to odor or sound," he says.
