If you have musculoskeletal pain, you may find it frustrating if treatments don’t work. For example, some people who get corticosteroid injections for conditions such as arthritis or tendinitis do not get relief. They may think that they don’t respond to steroids. However, it’s possible that the problem is not the treatment but rather that the underlying problem has not been identified.
